Canadian local search splits by province before it splits by city, and a business serving more than one needs pages that say so. A footer listing every city in the country reads as false to a buyer and ranks for none of them.
The other Canadian specific is seasonality. A roofer, a landscaper and an HVAC company each have a search curve that swings hard through the year, and local pages need to be written and indexed months before the curve rises rather than during it.
How the work is done
The profile is the product
Categories decide which searches you are eligible for at all, and most profiles have one when they could have five. Services, attributes, opening hours and the question-and-answer section are all ranking inputs and all sit empty on most profiles. This is the first thing we work through and it is the part that moves fastest.
A page for each place you actually serve
One page listing twelve towns in a footer ranks for none of them. A page per area you genuinely send somebody to, written about that area, ranks for each. The test is whether you would take the job: pages for places you cannot serve cost more than they earn and they read as false to a buyer.
Citations, which are boring and still matter
Your name, address and phone number have to match everywhere they appear. They usually do not, because a business moves, changes a number, or gets listed by somebody else with the old details. Cleaning that up is unglamorous and it is one of the few things that reliably moves a stubborn map ranking.
Reviews, asked for properly
Volume, recency and whether you reply all feed the ranking, and all three are within your control. We set up the asking so it happens without anybody remembering, and the replies get written.
What is different about search in Canada
Seasonality decides the calendar
Pages for a seasonal service need to be written and indexed months before the season. Publishing a snow removal page in November is publishing it late.
Province first, city second
A page per province that a business genuinely serves, with city pages underneath only where there is real service, reads as true to both a buyer and to Google. A footer listing every city in Canada does not.
French is a separate job
Quebec search is a different campaign with different pages, written by somebody who writes French natively. We do the English side and say so plainly rather than machine-translating.
Searches in Canada run on google.ca, which returns a
different result set to google.com. Work is checked against the one your customers
actually use.

How the engagement works
There is no package to pick from. What the site needs is decided on a call and written
down before any work starts, because a business with one location and a clean site needs
a different month to an agency reselling to twelve clients.
01
A call, before anything is quoted
Thirty minutes on what you sell, where you sell it, and what the site looks like today. No scope is written before that conversation, because the right work depends on all three.
02
A written scope and quote
What will be done, in what order, and what it costs, in writing. Nothing starts until you have agreed to it.

Month to month from there

True of every engagement
Search Console and Analytics set up in your name, so the data is yours
No lock-in: month to month, cancel with 30 days’ notice
Profile work often shows within four to eight weeks because so few competitors maintain theirs. Area pages take three to six months. Citation clean-up shows up slowly and mostly by removing a ceiling rather than by lifting you.
Do I need a page for every town near me?
No, and it is the commonest way this goes wrong. A page for a place you would not actually travel to is a page that earns nothing and makes the rest of the site look padded. Pages follow where you genuinely send someone.
Can you fix a profile that is suspended?
Usually, and the first step is finding out why, which is often a category or an address problem rather than anything you did. It is handled case by case and we will tell you honestly if it looks unlikely.
We have several locations. Is that different?
Yes. Each location needs its own profile and its own page, and the failure mode is one page and one profile trying to cover all of them.
Can you cover more than one province?
Yes, and it is usually the right structure: a page for each province you genuinely serve, with city pages only where you actually send someone. Pages for places you cannot serve cost more than they earn.
Do you do French-language SEO?
No. English only. A French campaign needs a native writer and pretending otherwise would produce pages that read as translated, which is worse than not having them.
What does the first month look like?
A technical fix list worked through, the Google Business Profile brought up to date, and the pages that already get impressions rewritten before any new ones are added.
