SEO audit service
A full read of your site against the search results you want to appear in, ending in a fix list ordered by what each problem is costing you. Not a tool export.
Up and Running Physical Therapy, Mar 2023 to Mar 2024, from their own Search Console.
What the audit covers
Six areas, each checked by a person, each ending in named pages and named changes.
-
Crawling and indexing
Which pages Google can reach, which it has dropped, and why. Redirect chains, duplicate URLs, blocked resources and sitemap errors.
-
Speed and Core Web Vitals
Field data from the Chrome UX Report where it exists, lab data where it does not, and the specific templates that fail.
-
Pages against searches
Every service you sell, matched to the search results you want. Where you have no page, where the page exists but says the wrong thing, and where two pages compete.
-
Google Business Profile
Categories, services, photos, posting history, review velocity and the citations that disagree with your address.
-
Links
What points at you, what looks bought, and who links to the competitors that outrank you.
-
Content quality
Thin pages, pages copied from templates, and machine-written text that will not hold a ranking.
What you receive
A document, a spreadsheet and a call. The document explains each finding in plain words with the evidence beside it. The spreadsheet is the fix list: one row per change, with the page, the problem, the fix, the expected effect and the effort, sorted so the top rows are the ones worth doing this week. The spreadsheet is the same SEO audit template anyone can download, filled in for your site.
The call is 45 minutes, in your working hours, to walk through the list and decide who does what. Most clients hand the top ten rows to their developer the same day.
How long it takes
Free short read: the main problems and the first fixes, by email.
Full audit: document, fix list and call. Longer for sites over a thousand pages.
Questions about the audit
What is the free short read?
Send your URL through the form, or mention it on the call, and you get a short written read within two working days: the three or four things holding the site back and what we would do first. It is the same read we do before quoting any work.
How is the full audit different?
The full audit is a 20 to 40 page document covering every section above, with a prioritized fix list and the estimated effort for each item. It takes five to ten working days and is quoted on the call based on the size of the site.
Can my own developer do the fixes?
Yes. The fix list is written so a developer can work from it directly, with the page, the problem and the change spelled out. Many clients do exactly that and only use us for the ongoing work.
Do you audit sites that are not on WordPress?
Yes. Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace and custom builds are all fine. The platform changes which fixes are possible, and the audit says so where it matters.
