Web design for salons

Websites for hair salons, nail salons, barbershops and lash studios that fill the book with the services you want more of. Balayage, extensions, lashes, bridal and every other service people search for get their own pages, each stylist has a portfolio, and booking is one tap from anywhere on the site.

97 to 100 out of 100 for mobile speed

PageSpeed Insights on the home pages of the 7 sites we link as our work, measured November 2026, the median of three runs each.

Someone looking for balayage or lash extensions near them scrolls the map, opens a few sites and looks at the work. They want to see results like the ones they want, know roughly what it will cost and book a time without calling. The salon whose site shows that work and the booking button next to it gets the appointment.

How clients choose a salon

They search the service

Balayage, keratin, extensions, lash extensions, bridal hair, a fade. A page for each one you want more of can show up for that search and show your work on it.

They choose by the work

Photos of real clients, by service and by stylist, often decide the booking.

They want to know the cost before they book

A service menu with starting rates, or at least what changes the cost of a color or a set of lashes, saves a call and an awkward moment at the chair.

They book on a phone, often late

Many people book on a phone, often after you have closed. Booking from every page through the software you use catches them.

Where salon sites lose the booking

  • An Instagram feed and nothing else

A feed shows recent posts, mixed together. A page per service with the best work for it can show up in search and helps a client who knows what they want.

  • No stylist pages

Clients often book a person. A page for each stylist, with their specialties and their work, lets them choose.

  • Booking hidden on one page

If the button is only in the menu, people leave before they find it. It belongs on every service and stylist page.

  • Slow photo galleries

Full-size photos from a phone make the page crawl. Images sized for the screen keep the work visible and the page fast.

What the site includes

  • A page for each service

What it involves, how long it takes, aftercare and photos of your results, with a booking button.

  • Your service menu

Every service with its time and whatever you choose to show about cost, kept in one place so it is easy to update.

  • Stylist pages and portfolios

Each stylist or technician with their specialties and their own work, bookable directly.

  • Booking from every page

The booking link or widget from the salon software you already use, on every service and stylist page.

  • Bridal and events

If you do weddings and events, a page with trials, on-site work and an inquiry form.

  • Your Google Business Profile

Linked to the site, with the same name, address and hours, the booking link and your best photos on both.

Getting found in search

Each service and stylist page goes live with its title, heading, schema and internal links in place, and your address, hours and booking link match your Google Business Profile. Salon searches end on the map, and a matched profile backed by a page for the exact service gives you a better chance of being the salon someone books.

Pages live is the count in each site’s own sitemap. Mobile speed and accessibility are PageSpeed Insights scores out of 100 for the home page, on a phone, the median of three runs. How a build runs, from brief to launch

Six stages on every site, whichever platform it is built on. The scope and the quote are agreed in writing after the first call, before any design starts.

  1. 01

    The brief, on a call

What the site has to do, who it is for and what exists today. If there is a site already, we read its Search Console first, because the pages earning impressions decide what the new one must keep.

  2. 02

A page map before any design

Every page listed with the search it answers and the action it asks for. On a redesign, every old URL is written beside its new home. You sign the map off before design starts.

  3. 03

    Design on real content

Pages designed with your actual words and pictures, at phone width first. You review in the browser, on a staging address search engines are told to ignore.

  4. 04

Build, with the SEO written in

Titles, descriptions, headings, schema and internal links are written as each page is built, so nothing is added at the end by somebody who never saw the page map.

  5. 05

    Checks before launch

Speed measured on a phone, every page at 320px wide and at 200 percent text, keyboard and screen reader checks, forms sent and received, redirects tested against the new build.

  6. 06

    Launch, handover and training

The switch, then Search Console read daily for two weeks. The domain, hosting and logins stay in your name, with a written note of how the site is built and a recorded session on editing it.

What every build includes

  • Speed

Measured in PageSpeed Insights on a phone before launch. Images sized for the slots they fill, fonts that do not block the page, no script a page does not use.

  • Accessibility

Text contrast, keyboard use, visible focus, alt text written for each picture, 44px tap targets on phones, and every page readable at 200 percent text.

  • SEO foundations

One title, description and H1 per page, schema, a sitemap that matches the site, clean URLs, redirects from every old address, and Search Console set up in your name.

  • Hosting handover

The domain, the hosting and every login in your name. We set the site up on your host, recommend one, or host it for you; either way you can move it.

  • Training

A recorded call showing whoever edits the site how to change a page, add a post and swap a picture, and a short written guide to keep beside it.

  • Two weeks after launch

Search Console, forms and errors checked daily for the first two weeks, and anything the launch broke fixed straight away.

Questions about salon websites

How much does a salon website cost?

It depends on how many service and stylist pages you want and how the site connects to your booking software. One short call, then a written quote for exactly those pages.

Does it work with our booking software?

Most salon booking tools give you a booking link or a widget. The site uses yours, so appointments, deposits and reminders stay where they are.

Can our Instagram show on the site?

Yes, as a link or a small feed. The service and stylist pages carry your best photos as well, because a feed changes every day and search engines cannot do much with it.

Do you need photos?

Yes, of real clients and the salon, with their permission. Phone photos in good light work. We crop and size them so the pages stay fast.

Will it show up when people search for a salon near them?

Each service page is written for the service people search, and your details in the schema match your Google Business Profile. On the map, reviews and distance matter a great deal, so we look at your searches with you on the call.

Who owns the site?

You do. The domain and the site are in your name, and the photos and words stay yours.
